Fraction Fish

Third graders reviewed their fractions of a circle (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32) They then used these various fraction pieces to create an underwater scene.   These compositions were made up entirely of cut paper! I love the creativity and diversity!

Pointillism Fish

Third graders were introduced to artist Georges Seurat famous for his pointillism technique.  Students recreated this by making dots with markers instead of strokes of color.  Our subject matter was fish, real or imaginary!
